Understanding PMP Exam Question Types
The PMP exam success depends largely on understanding the question format. All questions are situational, requiring you to apply project management concepts rather than simply recalling information:
- Network diagram questions appeared frequently and offered relatively easy points if you understand critical path calculations
- Earned Value Management (EVM) questions were common, particularly basic calculations involving PV, EV, and AC to determine schedule and budget status
- Change control management questions were abundant – this is a major focus area for the PMP exam
