Fitting iMars Android Car Stereo Head Unit into a Hyundai Tucson

Here is some information on the iMars Android 10.0 Car Stereo Head Unit, which was purchased in the 7″ size, and fitting it into a Hyundai Tucson 2005.

The Hyundai Tucson 2005 allows for an aftermarket single DIN radio to be installed fairly easily, refer to this post from 2014, but anything else requires a custom radio bezel. Fortunately, being such an old vehicle, I didn’t mind cutting into it myself.

For this particular model, underneath the single DIN is a little tray, which is the majority of the extra room the radio needs once removed. None of the single DIN metal frame was used with the new radio mounted directly on the plastic frame instead.

A before photo, with stock single DIN radio and notice the half DIN tray underneath.
The radio installed with the bezel removed.
The bezel installed back over the radio. Might be protruding a little too much for some, but it make it easier to use.

Now, a review of the iMars Android 10 Car Stereo Head Unit. A decent unit, need to pair with your phone if you want internet, or use Google Maps offline. A bit slow in the app, need to try USB casting which uses some third-party app. Sound is decent quality too.
